UTOPiAFest 2022 Returning to the Hill Country October 14-15, 2022
UTOPiAFest will always hold a place near and dear to the Festy GoNuts team. We stumbled upon this incredible family-run festy back in 2016 when we were working on the road for an REI promotional tour.
We were there to work, but we obviously found plenty of time to have fun. UTOPiAFest was just one of the magical festivals that we wanted to share with others. (Festy GoNuts was born shortly after our promotional marketing tour-life ended.) It has everything we love: fewer than 2,000 attendees, BYOB, camping close to the stages and no overlapping music.

UTOPiAFest 2022 continues to create a space for all walks of life
Presented in a natural amphitheater on the 1,000-acre Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet County, UTOPiAfest offers a true alternative from the large multi-stage festivals that often favor quantity over a quality audience experience.
Weekend passes (Friday-Saturday) and single-day tickets for the Thursday pre-party performances, along with discounted tickets for kids (ages 2-12) and teens (ages 13-19), are on sale now at https://www.utopiafest.com/.
Coming off the heels of the release of their new album, Manticore, American folk duo Shovels and Rope will bring their raspy South Carolina folk rock to the ranch, complementing the Southern-gothic swagger of Suzzane Santo, whose wholly original voice has landed her stints alongside household names like Hozier and Son Little.
Native Austinite Sir Woman, who recently ended her three-year hiatus by releasing her new single, “Get What You Want,” will have festivalgoers swaying and swooning throughout the grounds to her groovy gospel-esque R&B sounds.
Ushering in his identifiable baritone voice, rapper Charli 2na will share the stage with the hard-hitting eight-piece Latin funk group Brownout. Sudanese-American musician Sinkane blends notes of prog rock, electronica and Sudanese pop to create sounds so unique to the Texas Hill Country.
UTOPiAfest continues to live up to its name
“UTOPiAfest has always been a place where people can come together to celebrate music and nature in an open, accepting environment,” said co-founder Travis Sutherland. “We’re so excited to continue creating a space for all walks of life to come and be whoever they want to be, all while enjoying quality music and the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country.”
Born from Sutherland’s desire to create a truly experience-centered festival, UTOPiAfest has lived up to its name in nearly every regard since the inaugural festival in 2009.
The festival also boasts an abundance of outdoor activities including mountain biking tours, horseback riding, disc golf, yoga, workshops and swimming in the nearby Highland Lakes.
With free camping and parking, a BYOB-policy, and a variety of local culinary and arts vendors, the festival is all-inclusive for patrons of all ages and interests.
