The North Carolina Folk Festival will return to Greensboro, NC,  September 18 -20, 2026.  This non-profit event blends music, community, and culture for a multi-day event with free admission for everyone.  This year’s music lineup features St Paul and the Broken Bones, The Roots and Molly Tuttle.

The festival boasts 60+ makers, 80+ artists, and 40+ food vendors all collaborating for a 3-day event with music across 5 stages.  Get ready for a weekend of music, food, and art.

“Every year, I think the previous festival can’t be topped, and then I find myself even more excited and proud than before,” said Jodee Ruppel, Executive Director of the NC Folk Festival. “Having The Roots, pioneers of hip hop dating back to 1987 and now the house band for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for more than a decade, perform at the 2026 festival is simply amazing. Then you add Grammy winner and guitar virtuoso Molly Tuttle, shaping the bluegrass and Americana space. To be able to cross generations and genres, and have such acclaimed acts be accessible to all, is truly capturing the mission of The NC Folk Festival. “

With over 50 bands set to perform across the three-day festival, attendees can expect a variety of genres to pair with any musical taste.  The 2026 lineup “highlights the incredible breadth of music audiences will experience in Greensboro this September, from internationally renowned performers to emerging artists who are shaping the future of folk and roots music,” continues Ruppel.
