Bring the whole family out to Downtown Westminster for 3 days of activities on Friday, May 30th, through Sunday, June 1, 2025.  There will be free music from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Friday (Casey Russell Band, featuring Casey Russell, Will Trask, Brandt Williams, and Sean Dandurand) and Sunday (Rufus & Dufus, featuring Andrew Cooney and Derek Dames Ohl).  

The Westminster Chamber and the Downtown Westminster Business Association (DWBA) are launching a new partnership with the City of Westminster to activate Downtown Westminster.  To kick off this new alliance, the organizations will be hosting a weekend of free events held at Central Square Plaza from Friday, May 30 – Sunday, June 1, 2025. 

The Celebration of Downtown Westminster will kick off on Friday, May 30th, with free live music from the Casey Russell Band playing from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.  Casey Russell is a dynamic force in the Colorado music scene and beyond, bringing a mix of old school soul and funk with a modern flair. While he may be most recognized as a keyboardist and vocalist for the Magic Beans, his solo efforts have allowed him to share the stage with major artists such as George Porter Jr., MonoNeon, Cory Henry, Dumpstaphunk, Lotus, and more. Get ready for soulful songs and dance tunes to wrap up your work week!

Come back to the Central Square Plaza on Sunday, June 1st, for another free performance by the talented duo,  Rufus & Dufus.  Featuring Andrew Cooney (from Andy Frasco and the U.N., formerly Tenth Mountain Division) and Derek Dames Ohl (from Flash Mountain Flood).   These two old pals will be singing songs and doing their best to make each other laugh. Bringing thoughtful original tunes and choice covers, spanning the years from Prine and Jennings to Dawes and Justin Townes Earle, Rufus and Dufus will make you laugh, cry, and remember why you love a good song.
