UllrGrass 2019 Music Lineup
I have two words for you, folks. SAM BUSH. That’s right. The one, the only, The Sam Bush Band will be headlining the 2019 UllrGrass Music and Beer Festival. But wait – there’s more!
Here is the full lineup and schedule for the 2019 UllrGrass Beer and Music Festival:
FRIDAY NIGHT (January 25th)
You can bet The New Orleans Suspects will be setting the new Buffalo Rose stage on fire on Friday Night. And you’d be hard pressed to find a better collaboration of musicians than the UllrGrass All-Stars, featuring Drew Emmitt, Andy Thorn and Greg Garrison from Leftover Salmon, joined by Adam Aijala from Yonder Mountain String Band and Coleman Smith from Rapidgrass.
Sets by Liver Down the River, Bonnie & Taylor Sims, and Tori Pater are sure to make the first night of UllrGrass 2019 one not to be missed!
SATURDAY (January 26th):
Saturday means beer AND music at UllrGrass 2019. Beer Festival (1-4); Costume Contest (4pm)
You do NOT want to miss one of the best beer festivals on the Front Range! And while you’re enjoying some brews, be sure to enjoy a full day and night full of incredible music. The Sam Bush Band headlines Saturday’s main stage in Parfet Park, but the rest of the day is not to be missed! The newgrass stylings of the host band, Coral Creek, are always a festival highlight. The Mighty Pines, Turkeyfoot and Bowregard will add to the musical delights of Saturday’s acts.
Head on over to the Capital Grill for Gypsy Cattle Drive before AND after the Nightgrass sets at Buffalo Rose. NightGrass features some major stage collaborations: Coral Creek is hosting a Grateful Jamboree, and FREIYA: Women of Bluegrass will feature K.C. Groves, Erin Peet Lukes (Thunder and Rain), Bonnie Sims (Bonnie & the Clydes) and Natalie Padilla (Masontown).
SUNDAY (January 27th):

The weekend of UllrGrass 2019 wraps up with plenty of more incredible musicians in Parfet Park. Another fantastic collaboration is perfect to get you moving on a Sunday afternoon – the Adam Kinghorn Quintet featuring Drew Emmitt and Tim Carbone! You also won’t want to miss up-and-coming Sugar & The Mint, winners of the 2017 Telluride Bluegrass Band Contest! And Mama Magnolia will be wrapping up the main stage at the 2019 UllrGrass Music Festival!
The rest of Sunday’s bands will be sure to keep you warm and keep moving! Don’t miss Circus #9, Thunder & Rain, and Buffalo Commons.
Give Kids the Gift of Music!
UllrGrass Music and Beer Festival is a non-profit festival! All proceeds to go the Kids Music Project which was created by Coral Creek. This organization provides music education and performances to children throughout Colorado.
In addition, UllrGrass is a community-based, volunteer-driven festival. Check out all that Golden, CO has to offer and be a part of this incredible small town on the beautiful Colorado Front Range.

The Viking Vibe
UllrGrass Music and Beer Festival was created by Susannah and Chris Thompson who saw a need to create a winter music festival in their home of Golden, CO. Attendees dress in their furry Viking gear and praise the Norse God of Winter – Ullr! It happens sun or snow, and that’s half the fun. Bundle up in your fur and dance around Parfet Park.
UllrGrass 2019 is a great festival for the entire family!! As parents, Susannah and Chris wanted to create something that everyone in the family could attend. There are plenty of kid-friendly activities to keep your little ones entertained, including a costume parade, UllrEgg Hunt, crafts, dancing and so much more. Be sure to bring the little ones out to enjoy the fun.

The Grand Opening of the Buffalo Rose
UllrGrass 2019 has some incredible NightGrass shows throughout town, including headliners at the newly remodeled Buffalo Rose.
The Buffalo Rose has had a complete interior makeover – new flooring, new lighting, new bars, new layout and more!
(More improvements are still being made, so look for the entire remodel to be completed by Spring 2019.)
The Buffalo Rose is the longest operating saloon in Colorado, and it’s been given a total makeover. Locals and tourists alike are anxious to see what changes have been made.
The owners of the Buffalo Rose have worked tirelessly to completely upgrade the space while simultaneously retaining its incredible heritage. The historic two-story brick structure has been enhanced and revitalized to reflect the original facade from 1922, but many improvements were made to the interior.
Festival-goers will be able to experience the improved event venue and new commercial kitchen for the first time on Friday, January 25th! With the addition of an elevated craft bar upstairs, patrons now have two bar options. Grab a cocktail – and grab a bite to eat from the new food window! Not only that, but music fans will love the upgrades made to the sound system and lighting, and there’s been an enhanced audio-visual feature added as well.
Bundle-Up for Beats and Beer
Be sure to bundle up in your best Viking attire and head to Golden, Colorado for the 5th Annual UllrGrass Music and Beer Festival. This year’s music lineup is one of the best to date, so be sure to visit the indoor venues as well as the two stages at Parfet Park. The 2019 UllrGrass Beer Festival will host 27 different breweries and cideries, and it is always a highlight of the UllrGrass festivities. And, as always, there are tons of kid-friendly activities to keep the little ones entertained. This January, let’s all gather to sing the praises to the god of snow, Ullr!
