Give Kids the Gift of Music!
UllrGrass Music and Beer Festival is a non-profit festival! All proceeds to go the Kids Music Project which was created by Coral Creek. This organization provides music education and performances to children throughout Colorado.
In addition, UllrGrass is a community-based, volunteer-driven festival. Check out all that Golden, CO has to offer and be a part of this incredible small town on the beautiful Colorado Front Range.
The Viking Vibe
UllrGrass Music and Beer Festival was created by Susannah and Chris Thompson who saw a need to create a winter music festival in their home of Golden, CO. Attendees dress in their furry Viking gear and praise the Norse God of Winter – Ullr! It happens sun or snow, and that’s half the fun. Bundle up in your fur and dance around Parfet Park.
UllrGrass 2019 is a great festival for the entire family!! As parents, Susannah and Chris wanted to create something that everyone in the family could attend. There are plenty of kid-friendly activities to keep your little ones entertained, including a costume parade, UllrEgg Hunt, crafts, dancing and so much more. Be sure to bring the little ones out to enjoy the fun.
The Grand Opening of the Buffalo Rose
UllrGrass 2019 has some incredible NightGrass shows throughout town, including headliners at the newly remodeled Buffalo Rose.
The Buffalo Rose has had a complete interior makeover – new flooring, new lighting, new bars, new layout and more!
(More improvements are still being made, so look for the entire remodel to be completed by Spring 2019.)
The Buffalo Rose is the longest operating saloon in Colorado, and it’s been given a total makeover. Locals and tourists alike are anxious to see what changes have been made.
The owners of the Buffalo Rose have worked tirelessly to completely upgrade the space while simultaneously retaining its incredible heritage. The historic two-story brick structure has been enhanced and revitalized to reflect the original facade from 1922, but many improvements were made to the interior.
Festival-goers will be able to experience the improved event venue and new commercial kitchen for the first time on Friday, January 25th! With the addition of an elevated craft bar upstairs, patrons now have two bar options. Grab a cocktail – and grab a bite to eat from the new food window! Not only that, but music fans will love the upgrades made to the sound system and lighting, and there’s been an enhanced audio-visual feature added as well.
Bundle-Up for Beats and Beer
Be sure to bundle up in your best Viking attire and head to Golden, Colorado for the 5th Annual UllrGrass Music and Beer Festival. This year’s music lineup is one of the best to date, so be sure to visit the indoor venues as well as the two stages at Parfet Park. The 2019 UllrGrass Beer Festival will host 27 different breweries and cideries, and it is always a highlight of the UllrGrass festivities. And, as always, there are tons of kid-friendly activities to keep the little ones entertained. This January, let’s all gather to sing the praises to the god of snow, Ullr!
