Yonder Mountain String Band to Headline Inaugural Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival

The first-year festival will take place at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, MD.  October 1 & 2, 2022.

Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival has just announced that Yonder Mountain String Band will be headlining the first-year music festival.

Yonder Mountain String Band has been receiving rave reviews of their recent shows and is filling venues across the country.

The inaugural festival will take place on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay at the beautiful Sandy Point State Park on October 1 & 2.  The location offers beachfront enjoyment at the state park, with views of the Annapolis Bay Bridge as a backdrop.

A festival with a mission, Annapolis Baygrass Festival will help to protect and restore the Chesapeake Bay through education, awareness, and donations generated by a wonderful weekend of music and community.

Part of all proceeds from ticket, food, beverage, and merchandise sales will go to Maryland-based non-profit organizations that work tirelessly to protect the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed.
The festival organizers also plan to support non-profit groups that work to help in the field of mental health awareness.  Partnerships with related organizations are to be announced shortly.

A full lineup announcement for Annapolis Baygrass Festival is scheduled for May 24, with tickets going on sale May 31.

Yonder Mountain String Band headlines Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival

With their latest album, “Get Yourself Outside,” Colorado-based quintet Yonder Mountain String Band continues to solidify their place as not only a pioneering jam-grass act, but also one of the most innovative groups in live music —something the group has proudly held high for the better part of a quarter-century.

From selling out Red Rocks Amphitheatre at a time that was unheard of for string acts, to performing festivals like Bonnaroo, Yonder Mountain was the initial spark in an acoustic inferno decades ago that endures headlong into the 21st century—one burning brightly in an ongoing movement that is jam-grass.
