Greensky Bluegrass Announces “Camp Greensky Iceland” – June 2023, w/ Fruition, Holly Bowling, more!
Greensky Bluegrass Announces Camp Greensky Iceland, June 3-5 2023
In ELDBORG HALL, REYKJAVIK, ICELAND, featuring Holly Bowling & Fruition, plus late-nights with Neighbor and The ‘Lil Smokies
Greensky Bluegrass has always been at the forefront of the jamgrass scene, making waves wherever they go and changing the rules along the way.
After headlining festival after festival, in 2018 they presented their own Camp Greensky Music Festival, with three days of music curated by Greensky, featuring some of their favorite fellow artists and friends.
Now, breaking the mold once again, Greensky Bluegrass is taking Camp Greensky on the road – waaaaay on the road – announcing that the 2023 Camp Greensky will be held not in Michigan, but in Iceland.
Yes, that Iceland!
Announced via social media, Camp Greensky Iceland will feature 3 nights of Greensky Bluegrass June 3-5 at the iconic Eldborg Hall, in Reykjavik, Iceland.
And, as Greensky usually does, they’ll be bringing a few companions on the ride.
Fruition and Holly Bowling are listed as special guests, with Fruition opening each night while Holly Bowling sits in as the unofficial 6th member of Greensky, or 6reensky as they call themselves.
To top things off, Neighbor and The ‘Lil Smokies will host after-parties, featuring members of Greensky joining them.
Of this announcement, Anders Beck said:
“In the spirit of adventure, we are taking our beloved Camp Greensky festival to Iceland this summer. Remember when we were kids and you or your friends went to sleepaway camp? It’s like that, but with 3-nights of Greensky with Holly Bowling and opening sets by Fruition. In addition, we will be having aftershow parties with some of our favorite bands, The Lil Smokies and Neighbor and both aftershows will feature members of Greensky joining the fun. As you can imagine, we are super excited to share this news with you and hope that you will join us on this carefully cultivated Greensky adventure!”
A 3-day party hosted by Greensky Bluegrass in a land where the sun doesn’t set. Sounds too good to miss!
