When something has happened for over 30 years, you know it’s gotta be good! Great Blue Heron Music Festival, in Sherman, NY, is certainly one of those things. Known for a vibe that many refer to as home, Heron Festival sees attendees greet one another with smiling proclamations of “Happy Heron,” grateful to be back with the Tribe on The Farm once again!
This festival has certainly grown over the past 3 decades, but that family vibe has remained, along with 32-year returning headliners, Donna the Buffalo!
For the 32nd Heron, they’ve brought in some big hitters in the world of funk and party music, starting with Andy Frasco & the U.N., Beats Antique, and Cool Cool Cool.
The Rumble will bring the New Orleans Mardi Gras Indian funk, while up-and-coming jamgrass phenoms, Shadowgrass, will melt faces with their fast-picking bluegrass interpretations. Dustbowl Revival keeps the party going with their “booty-shaking jangly rock n’ soul.”
Driftwood and Jimkata are returning, welcome news to any who have caught these amazing regional acts at past Heron Festivals.
The stellar lineup continues with Ryan Montbleau Band, Sneezy, Florencia & the Feeling, Dirty Blanket, Sun King Warriors, Julia Sim Redmond Band, Max Childs, Gunpoets, The Combdown, Rasta Rafiki, New Planets, Smilo & the Ghost, Smackdab, PA Line, Richie & Rosie, Personal Blend, Charity Nuse, Tyler Westcott, Heavy Bone & the Good Time Zydeco Band, St. Vith, Eastern Boys in Western Shirts, Tiger Maple String Band, Leftover Stew, and Bill Ward & Creek Band.
