WinterWonderGrass Announces 2023 Lineup for Steamboat, Colorado
The 10th Anniversary of the festival features Greensky Bluegrass, The Infamous Stringdusters, Leftover Salmon, more!
WinterWonderGrass takes place in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, March 3-5. Tickets are on sale now.
WinterWonderGrass might happen when the temps are cold, but the Colorado festival is coming in hot for its 10th Anniversary.
The recent lineup announcement reads like a who’s who of progressive bluegrass, jamgrass and just the right amount of funk, folk and rock.
Led off by Greensky Bluegrass, The Infamous Stringdusters and Leftover Salmon, the 2023 WinterWonderGrass lineup could stop right there and have plenty of takers. Add in cosmic country’s Paul Cauthen and the monsters of galaxy-grass, Kitchen Dwellers, and we are sure to get more than a bit weird in the snow this year.
The stellar lineup continues with The Lil Smokies, The Lone Bellow, Neal Francis, Trout Steak Revival, Lindsay Lou, Kyle Tuttle and John Mailander.
Bursting onto the scene this year out of nowhere, Big Richard was sure to be included in this (and every other) festival lineup! Joining them are other great Colorado bands like Tenth Mountain Division, Daniel Rodriguez, Pick & Howl, Mama Magnolia and Steamboat’s own Buffalo Commons.
WonderGrass 2023 rounds out this amazing roster with Pickin’ on the Dead, AJ Lee and Blue Summit, Sicard Hollow, Tray Wellington Band, Old Town Pickers, Saints & Liars, The WinterWonderWomen and the RiverGrass All-Stars.
And of course, no ski-mountain music festival would be complete with Utah’s original ski and party band, Pixie and the Partygrass Boys! (Because you can’t ski and party if you don’t ski and party!)
Whew.
“It all started with our very first sold out festival at The Crazy Mountain Brewery in 2013, where the blizzard was fervent, and the energy matched,” the WinterWondeGrass founders stated in their Instagram announcement. “While the music grew, so did the community, and WinterWonderGrass was born. As we’ve grown to finally settle in Steamboat Springs, we couldn’t be more grateful for our Colorado community.”
And Colorado couldn’t be more grateful for this lineup. Plus. as the festival was moved a week later than normal, there’s always the hope for some favorable spring weather at this year’s party.
But we wouldn’t count on it!
