Stagecoach Country Music Festival Announces 2025 Lineup: Zach Bryan, Jelly Roll and Luke Combs to Headline with Nelly, Goo Goo Dolls and T-Pain

Stagecoach Country Music Festival will take place April 25 – 27, 2025, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.  Sierra Ferrell, Lana Del Rey, Sturgill Simpson, Sammy Hagar, Nelly to join the strange and eclectic list of multi-genre performers.

The Stagecoach Country Music Festival has just announced its 2025 lineup, and it’s set to be a diverse and star-studded event.  Well, it’s certainly diverse.  And most items of clothing will surely be studded.

Held from April 25-27, 2025, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, the festival will feature headliners Zach Bryan, Jelly Roll, and Luke Combs.   

The Stagecoach headliners are some of the biggest names in current country music, and there are plenty of other country stars throughout the list of returning and first-time performers, some who only recently dipped their toes into the country music pool, and some who don’t appear to have ever taken a swim.

Dig deeper and it seems that Stagecoach is embodying the current state of country music – one that seems to be fighting an identity crisis, trying to simultaneously appeal to the masses while not offending its solid core, and continuing to grow its base.

Sierra Ferrell is appearing on just about every festival lineup throughout the land, so no surprise to see her name on this roster.  Sturgill Simpson is also expected, despite his attempts to be the ‘anti-country’ country star.

Lana del Rey performed at Stagecoach 2024 after releasing her first country album, and is now a bona-fide crossover star, to the dismay of some longtime fans and the confusion of others.

Nelly and T-Pain are certainly a pair of head-scratchers here,  but the line between country and rap seems to get thinner and thinner with each new money-grab pop hit on the charts.  And we recall that Nelly did record Country Grammar.  Of course, that song is about as “country” as Ride Wit Me.

Creed and the Backstreet Boys are apparently still around, so why not book them at a country music festival?

Sammy Hagar has been seen wearing a cowboy hat.  We don’t know what a Shaboozey is, but it may fit in, as long as it sings about plastic cups, pickup trucks and Jesus.  Or Smokin’ Ls in the back of the Benz-E,.

Crystal Gale is still alive, as are Tommy James & the Shondells, the latter who may be quite frightened by a modern music festival, but we’re sure the kids will really lose their shit when TJ and Co. throw down their classic “Crimson and Clover.”

And of course, there is the biggest name in country music, the face and voice of the genre, up there with Hank Williams, Garth Brooks, and Reba on the Mount Everest of Country Stars –  Goo Goo Dolls.   WTF?  Goo Goo Dolls??

Apologies to all of the actual country music artists on this roster.  We are certain there are plenty of them, and surely they are very talented and not deserving of a lineup as comical as this one.

As country music festivals continue to venture further and further away from the genre and continue to money-grab by booking lineups packed with one-offs, novelty acts, fake crossovers, and has-beens, we have an invitation to the real country musicians out there:

Come on over to Bluegrass!  

The festivals are lovely, there are no 90’s rap stars lurking, no huge games of flip-cup to navigate, and no Goo Goo Dolls!
