Last Fall we were so psyched to spread the word about the Inaugural Free Fall Bluegrass Festival in Vail, CO.
As we said at the time, it included most of our favorite things: Free, Fall, October, Colorado, and The Bluegrass Generals.
Now, we are even more excited to share the news of the 2024 SpringFree Bluegrass Festival!
Let’s update those favorite things, shall we?
Spring. As in, the most beautiful season.
Free. As in, things that don’t cost money.
May. A month in Spring, when flowers bloom, sun shines, and everyone smiles.
Colorado. One of the most beautiful places in the world. Renowned for its mountain towns.
Bluegrass Generals. As in, Andy Hall and Chris Pandolfi of The Infamous Stringdusters, and a talented group of rotating members that they always put together to help undertake their mission to play kick-ass bluegrass music.
And let’s add to that list Sierra Hull, Jon Stickley Trio, Jeremy Garrett & River Wild, Pickin’ on the Dead, Tenth Mountain Division, Danger Mountain, The Rock and Roll Playhouse, Rapidgrass, and Skin the Rabbit. PLUS, a Headliner and additional acts still to be announced!

Vail, CO. (January 30, 2023) – The SpringFree Bluegrass Festival initial lineup is here! Enjoy free live bluegrass music in Vail, Colorado, May 24-26, 2024 with Bluegrass Generals, Sierra Hull, Jon Stickley Trio, Jeremy Garrett & River Wild, Pickin’ on the Dead, Tenth Mountain Division, Danger Mountain, The Rock and Roll Playhouse, Rapidgrass, and Skin the Rabbit. Headliner and additional acts to be announced, lineup is subject to change.
“We have many surprises coming with our lineup for Springfree. Our Bluegrass band friends love to mix it up and create memorable moments both on the stage and at some after parties. Stay tuned for headliner announcements and surprise and delight moments that will live on in your memories.” says Diane Moudy, event producer. “The Rock and Roll Playhouse will be back and be bigger and brighter than ever both Saturday and Sunday! The best way to stay up to date is by registering for updates on our website or following us on social media.”
Bring the kids to the Rock and Roll Playhouse’s kid-centered concert, starting at 11:00am Saturday and Sunday. Parents and little ones can dance and enjoy music in a fun and playful way. There will also be bounce houses and additional activities in the Kids Zone to be enjoyed all weekend.
Admission is free to all attendees. Music starts at 4:30pm on Friday. The Rock and Roll Playhouse starts at 11:00am with main stage music starting at 12:00pm Saturday and Sunday. Music goes until 7:30pm each night.
