The First Annual Flatiron Sounds Music Festival

The historic Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado just announced the first annual Flatiron Sounds Music Festival.

This free single-day festival will be held on Sunday, June 16th from 1-7 PM.  Enjoy musical performances from local Colorado bands, including Clay Street Unit, Two Runner, Jake Leg, King Cardinal, and Alexa Wildish. 

For food and drink options, the Flatiron Sounds Music Festival will have a beer garden and a variety of food trucks, including McDevitt Taco Supply, Rising Tiger, Georgia Boys BBQ, Susan’s Samosas, and Rise & Shine Paella.  Other food and snacks can be purchased at the Chautauqua General Store.

Be sure to take time to shop at the local artisan market.  There will be a variety of local Colorado vendors selling gifts such as soap, jewelry, clothes, arts and crafts, and more.

This is a rain-or-shine event for all ages. You may bring well-behaved dogs on a leash.

For the safety of Festival attendees, the following items are not permitted (copied from the Flatiron Sounds website): 

  • Glass bottles/objects
  • Illegal drugs, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, marijuana or cannabis products
  • Weapons or items construed as weapons (i.e. knives, Leatherman’s, pepper spray, stun-guns, firearms, etc.)
  • Laser pointers/pens, glow sticks
  • Air horns, bullhorns, whistles, noisemakers, etc.
  • Sparklers, fireworks, smoke bombs, lighters, etc.
  • Bicycles – can be parked outside, and cannot be brought in.
  • Unapproved pamphlets, handouts, advertisements, etc.
  • Drones, remote-controlled flying devices, or UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles)
  • Any smoking or vaping devices, tobacco products, or electronic cigarettes
  • Large tarps
  • No shade structure or tents may be staked in the ground
  • Other items as determined by event management


Permitted Items:

  • Blankets
  • Lawn chairs
  • Umbrellas
  • Aluminum and plastic water bottles
  • Phones and cameras without removable lenses
  • Binoculars


Flatiron Sounds Music Festival is held at Chautauqua Park (900 Baseline Road, Boulder, Colorado). 

Please keep in mind that Chautauqua Park has limited parking.  Public transportation, ridesharing, or biking is recommended.   A free shuttle is available to get safely to and from the festival.  The free shuttle runs every 15 minutes from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Flatiron Sounds Music Festival | 2024



Earl Scruggs Music Festival will return to Mill Spring, NC August 30-September 1 with a trifecta of outstanding talent, supreme amenities, and family friendly entertainment. This morning, organizers announced the 2024 lineup will include “Delta Dawn” hitmaker Tanya Tucker, seminal string band Old Crow Medicine Show, country and bluegrass mainstay Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, Colorado jamgrass ensemble Yonder Mountain String Band, and many more first-class pickers.

Lineup Announced for 2024 BEECH MOUNTAIN Summer Concert Series

North Carolina’s Beech Mountain Resort has announced the return of its annual outdoor concert series this summer. The series will kick off June 8 with performances by The String Cheese Incident and The Wood Brothers; followed by an extended Party on the Mountain weekend July 19-21 with NEEDTOBREATHE, Dispatch, Greensky Bluegrass, Yola, and Maggie Rose; with Sylvan Esso and Soccer Mommy rounding out the season on August 10.
