The 6th Annual Blue Ox Music Festival (June 11-13, 2020) has just announced Greensky Bluegrass as the headlining act. Add them to a previously released impressive bill which included Gov’t Mule, Sam Bush Band, Infamous Stringdusters, Yonder Mountain String Band and Jerry Douglas. Leftover Salmon will be returning in 2020 as well, adding some Polyethic Cajun Slamgrass to round out the Blue Ox stage.
Pert Near Sandstone, the Blue Ox host band, is returning with two sets sure to include songs from their new album being released this year.
Blue Ox Music Festival is a truly special festival which draws loyal fans year after year to the Whispering Pines Campground in Eau Claire, Wisconsin every June.
Blue Ox 2020 Complete Lineup
Blue Ox 2020 is comprised of three days, three stages and dozens of amazing musical acts performing Bluegrass, Americana, and Roots. Since it’s inception, Blue Ox has always brought the top bands to the main stage, along with introducing up-and-coming bands that are soon your new favorites.
This year’s all-star lineup includes Greensky Bluegrass, Gov’t Mule, Sam Bush Band, The Infamous Stringdusters, Yonder Mountain String Band, Leftover Salmon, The Jerry Douglas Band, Charlie Parr, Rising Appalachia, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, Charley Crockett, Henhouse Prowlers with Tony Trischka, Lillie Mae, Them Coulee Boys, Legendary Shack Shakers, Sunny War, Julian Davis & The Situation, Nora Brown, Arkansauce, Armchair Boogie, Kind Country, One Way Traffic, Short Round String Band, Feed The Dog, Intuitive Compass, Barbaro, and The High 48s.
New this year, in addition to the traditional Blue Ox late night sets – The Backwoods Stage will feature regional and emerging artists from 11:30AM to 6:30PM on Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13.
The first round of artists for the Backwoods Stage include – Miles Over Mountains, Nickle & Rose, Good Morning Bedlam, The Thirsty River, Dig Deep, Never Come Down, Pit Wagon, Katey Bellville, Gabe Barnett, and Doug Otto and the Getaways.
The Blue Ox Experience

The festival takes place at the Whispering Pines Campground in Eau Claire, Wisconsin – 120 acres of gorgeous forest and trails, 3 stages within a short walking distance, and plenty of shade from the pine trees. The campground provides a breathtaking place to set up your tent or park your RV.
Stroll through the festival grounds to experience the music, along with all of the other curated events. Yoga, music workshops, craft and food vendors, disc golf, and plenty of kids’ activities are scheduled throughout the weekend. It’s an intimate festival experience that provides fun and entertainment for everyone.
