Guide to BajaWonderGrass 2023: An Intimate Gathering in El Sargento, Mexico

Mar 31, 2023Adventure, Featured, Music

After spending a mind-melting – yet chilly! – weekend in March at WinterWonderGrass Colorado (Steamboat Springs), the Festy GoNuts team is ready to peel off the layers and head to El Sargento, Mexico for the very first (annual?) BajaWonderGrass.

Brought to you by the curators of WinterWonderGrass, RiverWonderGrass, Campout for the Cause and Revival with Billy Strings, BajaWonderGrass is sure to be a festival to rival all destination festivals.

Imagine a few hundred festival friends, a select group of your favorite artists, and a breathtaking venue in a quiet coastal town.

We’re only a few weeks away from this wonder of a festival, but there’s still plenty of time to grab your tickets and plan your trip to the peninsula for BajaWonderGrass Music Festival.

Transportation

The challenge of having a music festival in a remote town in Baja California Sur is getting there!

There are several options for you to ensure you arrive at the festival safely.

Airport:

You can fly into La Paz, but flights are more expensive and less frequent.  So, you’ll probably want to fly into Cabo San Lucas airport.

Shuttle:

El Sargento Shuttle (WhatsApp): +52 612 167 1550

In your message, please be sure to provide your full name, how many passengers, flight number, airline, and arrival date/time.

If you want to put a group together for a shuttle, join the Facebook Group for BajaWonderGrass.

To connect with other travelers for shared rides, visit The Ventana View.  This website has lots of information about the area, as well!

Car Rental:

After extensive research, we recommend contacting Cactus Car Rentals.  Full Disclaimer – we haven’t used them yet, but we had a great customer experience booking through them and have been told that the price they give is the final price when you arrive as well.

Just beware that other companies may have added on insurance fees once you arrive to pick up your car.
