Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival Announces 2023 Lineup and Ticket Information
Yonder Mountain String Band, Railroad Earth, Keller & the Keels, and Melvin Seales & JGB to headline the festival at Sandy Point State Park in MD, Sept. 30 – Oct. 1, 2023. TICKETS ON SALE 4/11
We were super excited about last year’s announcement of Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival – a brand new music festival outside of Annapolis, Maryland, at Sandy Point State Park.
For some former East-coasters such as ourselves, the festival had so much appeal – local seafood, fresh oysters, and regional craft beverages – all on the beaches of Sandy Point State Park in the shadow of the iconic Annapolis Bay Bridge. PLUS, the entire festival had a mission to help protect and restore the treasured Chesapeake Bay.
Which is why we were so bummed when Hurricane Ian meandered up the coast and forced the cancellation of the inaugural festival last year.
BUT, much to our delight, Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival is BACK – and even BIGGER and BETTER!
The 2023 lineup brings back 2022 planned headliner Yonder Mountain String Band, and this time they are joined by Railroad Earth and Keller & the Keels. Also new to 2023 are the iconic Melvin Seals and JGB!
Other new-to-2023 Baygrass artists include Fruition, Lindsay Lou (playing a set with her band, and hanging around all weekend as ‘Artist at Large’), and Arkansauce.
Returning to the roster from the 2022 Baygrass lineup are Cabinet, Cris Jacobs (who will be performing a rare show with Smooth Kentucky), Jon Stickley Trio, The Dirty Grass Players, Geraldine, The High & Wides, and Wicked Sycamore.
Along with this amazing lineup, Baygrass will feature artist workshops, activities for the whole family, and, once again, a local culinary and craft beverage experience that will make Baygrass much more than a music festival.
The festival promises more info to come – but expect all of the offerings that were on tap for 2022, and even more to draw you to the area. With hotel packages and travel info on the way, think of Annapolis Baygrass Festival as a destination festival and a chance to explore the amazing Eastern Shore and the Chesapeake Bay.
Tickets to Annapolis Baygrass go on sale on April 11 at BaygrassFestival.com.

“The Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival was born out of our team’s love of progressive bluegrass music, the desire to generate a fun community-oriented vibe and a passion for protecting the Chesapeake Bay,” says festival co-founder Ron Peremel. “We created a unique music festival where just by having fun you’re helping the Bay. As we like to say: Every Jam Saves the Bay!“
To increase Mental Health Awareness and connect the public to wellness resources, the festival has partnered with VA Way, a non-profit organization run by Baygrass co-founder John Way, an Army Veteran and a Certified Veteran MHFA (Mental Health First Aid) Instructor.
“I have attended hundreds of shows and festivals for over 20 years and have seen firsthand how music has the power to heal the mind. We have a rare opportunity with Baygrass to bring important mental health information to a large audience in an incredibly positive and supportive setting,” says Way.
